De kunstenaar Leonardo Vecchiarino uit Foggia komt tot schilderen na een aangeboren neiging die hem eerst naar de studie van de kunstgeschiedenis en vervolgens naar de schildertechnieken leidt. Na zijn artistiek-culturele opleiding te hebben geconsolideerd, volgde hij een belangrijk evolutionair pad dat rijk is aan experimenten en onderzoek naar kleur en dat de emotionaliteit van de geest van het moment vertaalt.
Eclectisch, attent en rusteloos kunstenaar, weet hij zijn kunst nieuw leven in te blazen dankzij een set van herinneringen en materialiteit die, met eenvoud en kracht van communicatie, ontrafelt tussen realiteit en verbeelding. Een procedure dus tussen concreetheid en schijn, tussen uitvinding en representatie in een ontluisterende context die de essentie is van het dagelijks leven van de mens.
Naast de opening van verschillende persoonlijke tentoonstellingen, heeft Leonardo Vecchiarino zijn werken gepresenteerd in talrijke tentoonstellingen en wedstrijden in Italië (Avenza di Carrara, Bari, Bologna, Casale Monferrato, Contursi Terme, Falconara, Florence, Foggia, Jesi, Milaan, Osimo, Perugia, Pescara, Rimini, Ripa, Sulmona, Trevi, Troia) en in het buitenland, waar, zelfs vandaag de dag nog, worden tentoongesteld in het Market Center in Dallas, het Jacob Javit Center in New York, het National Museum in Boedapest, de Italiensk Kulturell Forening Interart Vasteras in Hallstahmmar, Zweden, de Deposit Guaranty Salon International in Jackson, Mississippi, de Foyer International in Parijs, de Stockholm Exhibition Hall, het Trade Center/Harumi in Tokyo.

The artist Leonardo Vecchiarino from Foggia arrives at painting following an innate inclination that leads him first to the study of art history and then to painting techniques. After having consolidated his artistic-cultural training, he travels a significant evolutionary path rich in experimentation and research of colour that translates the emotionality of the spirit of the moment.
Eclectic, attentive and restless artist, he knows how to infuse new vital lymph to his art thanks to a set of memories and materiality that, with simplicity and strength of communication, unravels between reality and imagination. A proceeding, therefore, between concreteness and appearance, between invention and representation in a disenchanting context that is the essence of man’s daily being.
