In een tijd waarin vrouwen het verlies van hun rechten en vrijheid, dat in de twintigste eeuw moeizaam tot stand kwam, steeds meer waarnemen, heeft Claudio Caporaso, de nu bij het grote publiek en de critici bekende beeldhouwer van vrouwen, besloten het DND – DO NOT DISTURB- project te promoten om het publiek bewust te maken van de kwestie van de vrouw en om een einde te maken aan deze onzorgvuldige golf van regressie van rechten en psychologisch en fysiek geweld tegen het eerlijke geslacht. Dankzij een reizende tentoonstelling die verschillende Italiaanse en Europese steden zal raken, zal Claudio Caporaso tien bronzen beelden tentoonstellen waarbij tien vrouwen brutaal worden vastgebonden en geketend aan een grote hand die de mannelijke kracht en kracht symboliseert. Bij deze tien werken zal de kunstenaar vervolgens tien sculpturen uitvoeren die Moederwerken heten en die, als openbare werken of monumenten, zullen worden gebruikt om geld in te zamelen om te worden gedoneerd aan Verenigingen die strijden voor vrouwenrechten.
Van de tien voorgestelde vrouwenfiguren zal er slechts één niet tegen haar beul vechten voor haar vrijheid; integendeel, ze zal blijven zitten, passief, rustig en gecomponeerd aan de grote open hand die haar niet tegenhoudt: ze is het zelf die besloten heeft gebonden te blijven, misschien omdat ze op haar redder wacht of misschien omdat de troost van haar situatie niet zo hecht is als voor andere vrouwen die integendeel worstelen om die haatdragende ketenen te doorbreken en zo een grote pathos van ritmische bewegingen tonen. Zoals in al haar producties is de kunstenares niet te vergelijken met andere hedendaagse beeldhouwers en dus is ze dankzij haar precieze en zorgvuldige techniek en haar culturele achtergrond in staat om de lijn van vormen schoon en anatomisch correct te maken, een naturalistische en sensuele lijn waarin alle vrouwelijkheid van het lichaam met grote expressieve en suggestieve effectiviteit wordt verheven in een constante zoektocht naar ruimtelijke dynamiek.

Claudio Caporaso. The sculptor PRO-WOMEN
In a historical period in which women are increasingly observing the loss of their rights and freedom, which was laboriously achieved in the twentieth century, Claudio Caporaso, the sculptor of women now known to the general public and critics, has decided to promote the DND – DO NOT DISTURB- project to raise public awareness of the issue of women and to stop this careless wave of regression of rights and psychological and physical violence against the fair sex. Thanks to a travelling exhibition that will touch several Italian and European cities, Claudio Caporaso will exhibit ten bronze sculptures where ten women are brutally tied and chained to a large hand symbolizing male power and strength. In addition to these ten works, the artist will then execute ten sculptures known as Mothers’ Works which, becoming public works or monuments, will be used to raise funds to be donated to Associations fighting for women’s rights.
Of the ten female figures presented, only one will not fight against her executioner for her freedom; on the contrary, she will remain seated, passive, calm and composed on the large open hand that does not hold her back: it is she herself who has decided to remain tied up, perhaps because she is waiting for her savior or perhaps because the comfort of her situation is not as tight as it is for other women who, on the contrary, struggle to break those hateful chains, thus showing a great pathos of rhythmic movements. As in all his production, the artist is not comparable to other contemporary sculptors and so, thanks to his precise and careful technique and his cultural background, he is able to make the line of forms clean and anatomically correct, a naturalistic and sensual line in which all the femininity of the body is exalted with great expressive and evocative effectiveness in a constant search for spatial dynamism.
