De Ligurische beeldhouwer en kunstmeester Claudio Caporaso, geboren in 1976, sticht zijn artistieke passie voor houten en bronzen beelden; een figuratieve en echte sculptuur, gevoelig en emotioneel, die de vorm niet verandert om zijn diepe boodschap te laten zien: zijn precieze en zorgvuldige techniek stelt hem in staat de vormenlijn schoon en anatomisch correct te maken, een naturalistische en sensuele lijn waarin alle vrouwelijkheid van het lichaam met grote expressieve en evocatieve effectiviteit wordt verheven in een constante zoektocht naar ruimtelijke dynamiek. De poëzie van de kunstenaar is helder en communiceert de schoonheid en waarheid van de kunst dankzij eigenaardige elementen zoals de vrouw, de bloemen en het sprookje die in continuïteit met het materiaal worden gevormd.
In zijn professionele carrière heeft Maestro Caporaso verschillende onderscheidingen ontvangen, zoals de titel van binnenhuisarchitect van pleziervaartuigen, de benoeming van de bijlmeester door de regio Ligurië, de benoeming van de Nationale Verantwoordelijke voor de afdeling “Beeldhouwkunst” door de Onafhankelijke Vereniging voor de Ontwikkeling van de Kunst in Italië, en de benoeming van de officiële beeldhouwer van het Nationaal Comité voor Christoffel Columbus.
Na 2010, dankzij zijn verhuizing naar Lombardije, in de buurt van Milaan, is de beeldhouwer nieuwe en vruchtbare samenwerkingen begonnen en heeft hij de kans gehad om deel te nemen aan verschillende wedstrijden, waaronder de prestigieuze DanzArte-wedstrijd Premio Caporaso, waar zijn cyclus gewijd aan de dans hem de status van officiële beeldhouwer heeft opgeleverd voor de Italiaanse Dansprijs.
In een historische periode waarin vrouwen steeds meer het verlies van hun rechten en vrijheid waarnemen, promoot Claudio Caporaso, de beeldhouwer van de vrouw, sinds eind 2019 het DND – NON DISTURB- project om het publiek bewust te maken van deze onzorgvuldige golf van achteruitgang van rechten en psychologisch en fysiek geweld tegen het eerlijke geslacht: De beeldhouwer zal tien kleine bronzen sculpturen tentoonstellen met tien brutaal gebonden en geketende vrouwen als onderwerp, die vervolgens in monumentale afmetingen zullen worden gerealiseerd en openbare werken worden om geld in te zamelen om te worden gedoneerd aan verenigingen die strijden voor vrouwenrechten.

Ondertussen worden haar werken tentoongesteld in verschillende nationale en internationale tentoonstellingen en zijn ze te bewonderen in verschillende Italiaanse galerijen, zoals SpazioFrisi, Virtutismuseum en Ada Zunino in Milaan, Villa Erba in Cernobbio in Como, en het Diocesane Museum van Terni in Umbrië. De sculpturen van Claudio Caporaso zijn ook openbare monumentale werken op Italiaans grondgebied geworden, zoals het Monument voor de Gevallenen op Piazza XXV Aprile in Deiva Marina (Ligurië), het Monument voor St. Anthony Mary Gianelli in Brugnato (Ligurië), het monumentale Medaillon van Admiraal Benedetto Brin op het gelijknamige plein in La Spezia (Ligurië), en de Majolica in opdracht van het gemeentebestuur van Cusago (Milaan).

Zijn werken bevinden zich in Italiaanse en Duitse privécollecties.

The Ligurian sculptor and master of art Claudio Caporaso, born in 1976, founds his artistic passion for wooden and bronze sculpture; a figurative and real sculpture, sensitive and emotional, that does not alter the form to show his deep message: his precise and careful technique allows him to make the line of forms clean and anatomically correct, a naturalistic and sensual line in which all the femininity of the body is exalted with great expressive and evocative effectiveness in a constant search for spatial dynamism. The artist’s poetics is clear and communicates the beauty and truth of art thanks to peculiar elements such as the woman, the flowers and the fairy tale that are shaped in continuity with the material.
In his professional career, Maestro Caporaso has obtained several recognitions such as the title of interior decorator of pleasure boats, the appointment of Axe Master by the Liguria Region, the appointment of National Responsible for the “Sculpture” section by the Independent Association for the Development of the Arts in Italy, and the appointment of official sculptor of the National Committee for Christopher Columbus.
After 2010, thanks to his move to Lombardy, near Milan, the sculptor has started new and fruitful collaborations and has had the opportunity to participate in several competitions including the prestigious DanzArte Competition Premio Caporaso where his cycle dedicated to dance has earned him the status of official sculptor for the Italian Dance Award.
In a historical period in which women are increasingly observing the loss of their rights and freedom, Claudio Caporaso, the sculptor of women, has been promoting the DND – NON DISTURB- project since the end of 2019 to raise public awareness to stop this careless wave of regression of rights and psychological and physical violence against the fair sex: the sculptor will exhibit ten small bronze sculptures that have as their subject ten brutally bound and chained women, which will then be realized in monumental dimension becoming public works to raise funds to donate to Associations fighting for women’s rights.

In the meantime her works are exhibited in various national and international exhibitions and can be appreciated in various Italian galleries, such as SpazioFrisi, Virtutismuseum, and Ada Zunino in Milan, Villa Erba in Cernobbio in Como, and the Diocesan Museum of Terni in Umbria. Claudio Caporaso’s sculptures have also become public monumental works on Italian territory such as the Monument for the Fallen in Piazza XXV Aprile in Deiva Marina (Liguria), the Monument to St. Antonio Maria Gianelli in the town of Brugnato (Liguria), the monumental Medallion of Admiral Benedetto Brin in the homonymous square in La Spezia (Liguria), and the Majolica commissioned by the Municipal Administration of Cusago (Milan).

His works are in private Italian and German collections.
